ਲੰਬੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਟਰ ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ-ਧੂਹ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਟਰ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਰੋਸ ਵਜੋਂ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਰਾਕਾਰੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਘਿਰਾਓ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਤੋਪਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਬੁਛਾੜਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰੀਬ ਡੇਢ ਦਰਜਨ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਰਾਕਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਜਦਕਿ ਡੇਢ ਦਰਜਨ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ       ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ-ਧੂਹ   ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਸਕੇਲ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਕੱਰਰ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਹਾੜੇ ਕੱਢ ਰਹੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਟਰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਢਾਈ ਸੌ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਐਲਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਬਾਬਾ ਮਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਲੰਬੀ ਤੋਂ ਥਾਣੇ ਤੱਕ ਰੋਸ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਾਦਲ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਘਿਰਾਓ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਹੀਰਾਂ ਘੱਤ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਮਾਰਗ-10 ਤੇ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਨਾਕਾ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਾ ਵਧਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਕਤ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਰਾ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੇ ਜਾਮ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਸੜਕੀ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਠੱਪ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਾਅਰੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਲੰਬੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਇਬ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ, ਗਿੱਦੜਬਾਹਾ ਦੇ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮਲੋਟ ਦੇ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਮਨਵਿੰਦਰ ਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਟਰ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਕੱਰਰ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਤੇ ਅੜੇ ਰਹੇ। ਇਸ ਤੇ ਲੰਬੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਇਬ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਨੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਬਾਰੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਸ੍ਰੀਪਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਕੇ.ਜੇ.ਐਸ. ਚੀਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੂੰ 3 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ। ਅਜੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਚੱਲ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੰਗ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਰਾਕਾਰੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ ਲਈ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਰੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਜਲ ਤੋਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਬੁਛਾੜਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਰੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਚਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੀ। ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਡੇਢ ਦਰਜਨ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵੀਨ ਸੰਧੂ ਜਲੰਧਰ, ਕਿਰਨਪਾਲ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ, ਬਲਜੀਤ ਗਰੋਵਰ, ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਕਮਲ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ, ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਰਜਨੀ ਜਲੰਧਰ, ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਵੋਹਰਾ, ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੋਜ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸੁਖਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨਿਕ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਾਣ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਸਰਵ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹ ਸਕੇਲ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨਾ, ਜੂਨ 2012 ਦੀਆਂ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੱਟੀ ਗਈ ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਵ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਅਧੀਨ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਆਈ.ਈ. ਡੀ. ਕੰਪੋਨੈਂਟ ਨੂੰ ਐਨ.ਜੀ.ਓ. ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਨ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਈ.ਟੀ.ਡੀ. ਕੰਪਲੈਂਟ ਐਨ.ਜੀ.ਓ.ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਿਛਲੇ 7 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਆਈ.ਈ.ਆਰ.ਟੀ. ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੀ.ਜੀ.ਐਸ.ਈ.ਦਫਤਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ.ਸੀ.ਪੀ. ਮਲੋਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ 15, 19, 22 ਅਤੇ 23 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਰੇ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੱਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਪਿਆ।
ਲੰਬੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਇਬ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਨੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਤੋਂ  ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੁਜ਼ਾਹਰਾਕਾਰੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਔਰਤ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੜੀ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੱਕ ਲੰਬੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਲਈਆਂ ਔਰਤ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਖੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਮੋਹਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੇ ਸੜਕੀ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਠੱਪ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ 9 ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਰਚਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

At least 12 activists of the Special Educators Union, including four women serving as Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (IERTs) in government schools, were injured after the police resorted to cane charge and water canon at Lambi village in Muktsar district this afternoon.

The protesting teachers were marching towards Badal village to gherao Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badals residence to press their demand of regularisation of teachers and same pay scale as of the teachers appointed under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

The incident took place around 12 noon when nearly 150 teachers lodging a protest at Baba Mann Singh Stadium at Lambi marched towards Badal village. The police stopped them near the police station. Due to the police barricades, the protesters sat on the National Highway-10 and blocked it for almost an hour.

Meanwhile, Naib Tehsildar Sukhdarshan Singh Brar attempted to pacify the protesters. He made a phone call to Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister KJS Cheema to communicate the demands of protesting teachers. The latter assured them to have a meeting with Chief Minister on October 3.

However, the teachers did not relent. They again started marching towards Badal village when the police resorted to cane charge and water canon to stop them. Three women teachers fell unconscious on the road and a number of others sustained multiple injuries. The police bundled the protesters in government vehicles and took a number of them to the police station.

Irate over this, the protesting teachers again gathered outside the police station demanding immediate release of their colleagues, following which the police again resorted to cane charge. The incident continued till 1:30 pm. SSP Inder Mohan Singh (Muktsar), said, "Nine teachers were booked for creating nuisance and blocking the national highway. 

लंबी में अध्यापकों पर लाठीचार्ज, आठ जख्मी

वेतन में वृद्धि करने और बीते जून माह की छुंिट्टयों के काटे गए वेतन को लौटाने की मांग को लेकर शुक्रवार को प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री प्रकाश सिंह बादल के गांव बादल की ओर बढ़ रहे शारीरिक और मानसिक तौर पर विकलांग बच्चों को पढ़ाने वाले स्पेशल अध्यापकों (एजुकेटरों) पर पुलिस ने जमकर लाठियां भांजी। अध्यापक नेताओं के अनुसार इस लाठीचार्ज के दौरान उनके चार अध्यापक और चार अध्यापिकाएं जख्मी हुईं हैं। पुलिस ने 17 अध्यापक अध्यापिकाओं को हिरासत में ले लिया है।
हासिल विवरण के अनुसार उक्त मांगों को लेकर कई दिनों से लंबी में संघर्षरत करीब 250 एजुकेटर अपनी यूनियन के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष सुखराज सिंह की अगुवाई में आज गुप्त तौर पर बाबा मान सिंह स्टेडियम में इकट्ठे होकर दोपहर करीब एक बजे गांव बादल की ओर निकले, लेकिन जैसे ही वे थाना लंबी के नजदीक पहुंचे वैसे ही डीएसपी मनविंदरबीर सिंह की अगुवाई में पुलिस पार्टी ने उन्हें आगे बढ़ने से रोक लिया। प्रदर्शनकारी आगे बढ़ने की जिद पर अड़ गए। इस पर पुलिस ने पहले उन पर पानी की बौछारें छोड़ी और फिर लाठीचार्ज कर दिया। इस दौरान पुलिस ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को दौड़ा दौड़ा कर पीटा और उन्हें तितर बितर करने के बाद ही दम लिया। यूनियन के जिलाध्यक्ष दीपक कुमार के अनुसार लाठीचार्ज में मनोज कुमार, वरिंदर सिंह, हरप्रीत सिंह, बलजीत ग्रोवर, अमनजीत कौर, कमला कुमारी, भूपिंदर कौर तथा रजनी बाला आदि एजुकेटर जख्मी हुए हैं। इनका सिविल अस्पताल से उपचार कराया गया। दीपक ने बताया कि पुलिस ने उनके 17 शिक्षक-शिक्षिकाओं को गिरफ्तार कर रखा है। उनके अनुसार जब तक उन्हें सर्व शिक्षा अभियान के तहत कार्यरत सामान्य अध्यापकों के समान वेतनमान नहीं मिलता तब तक उनका संघर्ष जारी रहेगा। उधर, एसएसपी इंद्र मोहन सिंह ने बताया कि इस मामले में नौ एजुकेटरों के खिलाफ सरकारी ड्यूटी में विघ्न डालने और राष्ट्रीय राज्य मार्ग को जाम करने का मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया है।
