In more than 6000 Upper Primary Govt Schools, less than 750 Regular Eng Masters in Punjab, ETT Teachers who are eligible for English Master post need to join EMA to make Promotion Policy.

Punjab Govt. sanctioned 1000 post of English Master to regular service Provider(English).In which 832 post was  filled. What about The Promotions from ETT/JBT Teachers to English Master Cadre ?

All are happy with transfer policy, May TF and ESP can apply only on C and D category schools but leastwise all have some open options now for their transfer.
But a very strange truth about 1000 English Education service Provider that they almost have no option of transfer. And there is reason behind it. Actually after independence it's first time in Punjab govt school created a Eng Master/mistress posts or more accurately say convert SS posts to Eng Posts.

Now main thing is that how we can solve their problem?

Simple way is to allow them to transfer on half seats of SS posts in particular school.

For example if High school has two SS posts and both is vacant then one should be consider for Eng ESP. Same way if any school has 4 SS posts then allow Eng ESP on 2 posts.

Now may it seems wrong to some people who are not in favour to convert some existing posts of SS to  Eng. But it is already happen when Eng ESP came first time in job. Posts of SS are converted to Eng Master/Mistress posts.

Now reason is why this happen?



Actually when u look at posts of any High school.

you will see

Maths Posts
Sci posts
Hindi posts
Punjabi Posts
DPE
A & C
and some other

and

 SS Posts.

but where is Eng posts.

Actually to which we call SS posts is actually is SS and ENG posts.
May it's name is SS but half of SS posts is actually Eng Posts not merely SS.

Ican not understand by the union of ''English'' master.Are their teachers, who are only teaching english, as a subject. I think [or reality] there are only SS masters,who are teaching english and social-studies.A call for a separate post of english is justified,but in my view the name of the union should be SS--cum-English Masters Union. Thanks.

There are Actual Regular English Master in Punjab Education Department.................. Not SS--cum-English Masters Union................ pure English Master................ English Master Association, Punjab (E.M.A. Punjab)

Because IN ETA, word "Teachers" Stands for both Masters & Mistresses
