As expected, Samsung officially introduced two new smartphones under 'Galaxy C' lineup today in China — Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Both comes under upper mid-range segment but offers impressive specifications and solid build quality. Unfortunately, the Galaxy C5 and C7 will only be sold in China, at least for now. Samsung announces AT&T exclusive Galaxy S7 Active with MIL-STD, S820, and 4000mAh battery
 
Samsung has finally unveiled the rugged version of Galaxy S7, and the company calls it Galaxy S7 Active. It is not come as a surprise for the tech followers since Samsung has a habit of bringing the rugged version of its current flagship smartphone with “Active” suffix. As the name suggests, this year S7 Active aimed serious users, who need an extremely rugged phone and yet to be a powerful one.

After releasing the Android Marshmallow update for the Galaxy J5 (2015) in India and the Galaxy Tab S2 in the USA, Samsung has started rolling out Marshmallow update for the Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2015) unlocked variants in Russia. The Galaxy A7 (2015) gets a taste of the long-awaited Marshmallow upgrade nearly eight months after Google released the new operating system. On the other hand, the Galaxy A5 (2016) was launched alongside Galaxy A7 (2016) back in December 2015, which hits the global markets earlier this year, has been now receiving Marshmallow update.

Galaxy Note7 moniker and key specs confirmed
 
Samsung must be busy in developing the next Galaxy Note series smartphone. The previous reports suggested a Note7 moniker instead of Note6. The jump in number is to streamline the naming schema of its high-end smartphones. The Galaxy S series handset has entered into 7th generation whereas the Note series is still in the 6th generation since the first Note was launched a year after the first Galaxy S smartphone, so Samsung might be looking to skip the Note6.
