Punjab: Teachers Union plan state level rally on 2nd June

FEROZEPUR : A meeting of Education Provider Teachers Union Ferozepur Unit was held under the chairmanship of Jasbir Singh at Saragarhi Gudawara.
He informed that in case the demands of the teachers which include giving grade to teachers working on contract basis, B.Ed to untrained teachers, are not met by 31st May, the agitation will be intensified. He further said that Education Provider Teachers have not been paid their salary for the last five months and they are presently working on the nominal salary of Rs.6500, 7250 and 8000.
The president also said that ultimatum to the government has been given to accept their demands by 31st May and in case the funds are not released for payment of salary, a state level rally with be organized on 2nd June at Ludhiana. On this occasion, Amrik Singh, Satnam Singh, Raman Kumar, Amarjit, Varinder Singh, Gurjant Singh and others were present.
