well .  i think promotions of anybody should be  based on caliber  of the employee rather than mere seniority. there should b a common test and those who pass the test should only b eligible for promotions. i have read heated arguments  b/w our friends and came to conclusion that regular or corrspondence dont count if u have right knowlegde of the subject. moreover it is better for poor  students too . otherwise we know whats the situation of education  now is  in +1 and +2 classes. most of the lecturers r not giving quality education ...

most of us perceive promotions as mere increase in status and salary. and forget that with it comes a bigger responsibility too.

Yes definitely rather there should be TET(Teacher Eligibility Test) every year. The increment should be given only if the teacher clears the test otherwise his/her increment for that year should be stopped. This will make the education system more progressive. And only blacksheeps  will oppose this....

Sadde school da ik Library Restorer 6th atte 7th nu hindi badi lagan naal padhaunda hai kalle kalle bache te dhiyan dina hai written practice karaunda hai likhai sudharda ha moral galla vi sikhaunda hai bache uss di badi ijjat karde han. Oho sirf dasvi paas hai. Hindi teacher M.A. B.Ed. hai par uss nu padaun ch koi interest nahi.  Par oho promotion lai koi v test clear kar sakdi hai. Mere ehan da matlab hai ki sirf tests clear karan atte well qualified hon naal hi koi changa teacher nahi ban janda. Padhaun di lagan hona uss to jyada jaruri hai.
