New faster Chrome is launched

Google has been working on the next Beta version of the Chrome browser and one significant feature is an increase in speed.

Google is estimating that the speed increase could be as much as thirty per cent.

Speed is not the only feature either, there will be improvements to the New Tab page such as being able to move websites from the Most Visited page by simply clicking and dragging on the site image.

Google is also said to have improved the Omnibox, which is the combined search and URL box.

This will now have a more improved drop down menu, new icons that allow the user to distinguish between different searches, bookmarks, suggested sites and of course the browsing history.

One significant change is the theme gallery.

Chrome now comes with themes which allow the user to customise the browser'   '     '    ''   '    ' ' '   '     ' ' '   ' ' '    ''   ' '   '    ' ''   '     ' ' '   ' ' '    ''   ' '   '    ' ' s appearance.

Google fixes Chrome flaws

by David Allen

Google has recently patched two series flaws in the Chrome Javascript and XML engines which could have caused some serious issues for the users of Chrome.

The flaw found in the V8 Javascript engine could have allowed a webpage that has been specially designed with JavaScript to actually read unauthorised memory and by-pass security checks.

The threat here is obvious, as it could lead to an attacker being able to run their own codes on the page.

Google themselves rated this issues as high because the malicious code could be run from within the Chrome browser.

The XML issue would cause the Chrome tab feature to crash; a malicious XML payload could quite easily trigger this problem.

According to Chris Evans from Google'   '     '    ''   '    ' ' '   '     ' ' '   ' ' '    ''   ' '   '    ' ''   '     ' ' '   ' ' '    ''   ' '   '    ' ' s security team, the flaws were rated as critical but are now fixed.

                                  1. Tokyo

I don't live in Tokyo. I don't even know whether I would like to live there. I love it and hate it-it is one of those places that you can love and hate at the same time.
The first "fact" about Tokyo, for me, is that there are too many people. I don't mean the fact that more than twelve million people live there. A number like 12,000,000 doesn't mean anything to me.

Since last March, Liu Zhaomin, a retired sanitation worker from the West City District Cleaning Team, and his wife have contracted to keep the facility clean, and the once dirty and foul-smelling toilet has become one of the cleanest in Beijing.
