DEO to redress grievances today

THE IDEA IS TO LISTEN TO PROBLEMS AND PROVIDE SOLUTIONS BY GIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO PERSONS CONCERNED AND THE STAFF WILL BE WORKING ON SATURDAY FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM.
LUDHIANA: Director public instructions (DPI), secondary, Balbir Singh Dhol has directed the district education officer (DEO) and circle education officers to hold meeting for hearing the issues of the staff as well as public on March 14.
In the last meeting conducted by the DEO on February 14, four complaints were received.
Talking to Hindustan Times, DEO, secondary, Paramjit Kaur Chahal said, “As per the directions, we will hold the meeting tomorrow. The idea is to listen to the problems and provide solutions PARAMJIT KAUR, district education officer (secondary) by giving instructions to the persons concerned. The staff will be working on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.”
Chahal said, “After every 15 days, I hold meetings with all the branches under me. I take feedback that how much work is left and direct the branch heads to complete the work at the earliest. My department makes efforts to address the issues and resolve the matter on the day they receive the case.”
The district education office had organised three meetings in 2013. The first one on August 10, 2013, saw two complainants; no complaint was received in the meeting on October 12, 2013; while one complaint was received on September 11 that year.
