Teachers told to explore Powerpoint and Internet

LUDHIANA: Paramjit Kaur, district education officer (secondary), asked teachers to utilise the latest educational trends and techniques in their respective schools.
Addressing the AIFT-RMSA seminar for math teachers at Government Inservice Training Centres (GISTCs), Ludhiana, she further told the participants to explore PowerPoint presentations (P-P-P) and Internet for teaching the students.
The DEO was speaking at training programmes conducted for inservice teachers by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in collaboration with American India Foundation Trust (AIFT) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan (RMSA), Punjab. Thousands of teachers from across Punjab in the training at GISTCs and DIETs.
The training laid emphasis on developing lesson plans based on creative and collaborative learning, and critical thinking. It further stressed on the making teachinglearning process more effective by using pedagogical concepts.
GISTC incharge HS Manocha asked teachers to implement the latest teaching methodology related to the different levels of thinking of the students.
