thanks, my dear Varinder,
Ah, what an ill destiny of my countrymen.........
they have to learn
i)      State's mother tongue,
ii)     Nation's mother tongue
iii)    International mother tongue

        Aren't we over-burdened by these two additional languages;
        But this is not the condition with the maximum foreign students, they have only one mother tongue.......

our students of govt. schools can't compete properly with public schools whether govt. is doing a lot through digital lab/lib. to improve the quality. DISGRAPHIA is also a main problem of students means most of the students are afraid of ENGLISH. Punjabi medium is compulsory till 8th and this factor also affects enrollment in govt. schools becoz students come to govt. schools from private schools want to take english or hindi medium which is not possible in govt. schools. Moreover students of govt. schools don't take med./nonmed. subjects in 11-12th classes just due to english fear and they have read all sub. in punjabi medium at lower level. Is n't it .............................................your views are welcome
Most Respectable Neeru ji,
                          Most humbly, let me make it clear to you that our students are more capable than that of the private organisations, diference only lies with that latter belongs to a social class who is having Silver Spoon in Mouth; If we people guide them, instead at the present juncture, of course, we're all guiding them also; as I have seen the students who're coming to us in the 6th class are totally different from those of their counter-parts studying the same Govt. schools some years back. Bravo; our learned and industrious staff, who with their undying efforts have created an atmosphere in the Primary Schools. I got bewildered to see the confidence of those students who for the last 3-4 years are coming to our schools. Salute to your efforts. The students studying in the Pvt. institutions are totally blank; they don't know even the name of a single plant; they can't swim in the ponds, they cannot climb a tree, they cannot know the complexities of the real life, they are captivated in the A/C homes, cars, Schools having all these amenities but on the contrary our students are having a little phobia, which we can eradicate and I am working in this direction to let them know how to communicate in English and I am of the firm view that the Day is not too far when everyone of the society will feel proud of the students of Government Schools. That day is not too far............. Hum Honge Kamyaab................
thanks with warm regards.
RESPECTED SIR
                             I think u have misunderstood my views.I am not saying that students of private schools are very gud in english rather grammetically they are very poor.  Today each parent wish to admit their ward into english medium school and our govt. schools can't fulfill their wish as a result the enrollment  at pry/middle level is very low. Only for this that option should be there. Besides this above average students will also feel comfortable to cope with techno world. SIR  I know this very well that  ROSES ARE ALLWAYS IN THORNS secondly IF we admit that students of public schools are gud in studies becoz their parents are educated and co-operate them SO WHAT i believe that we have OUTSTANDING TEACHERS IN GOVT. SCHOOLS to teach well to students which in private schools may have not.................................................THANKS

RESPECTED TEACHERS, WE ALL KNOW THAT ENGLISH SUBJECT WAS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY BY THE SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS IN PUNJAB SINCE INDEPENDENCE. S.St TEACHERS WERE ASKED TO TEACH THIS SUBJECT IN THE SCHOOLS. THESE TEACHERS WERE DOING THEIR BEST BUT IT WAS A BURDEN ON THEM AS IT WAS NOT THEIR MAIN SUBJECT. FIRST TIME IN 2008 PUNJAB GOVERNMENT RECRUITED ENGLISH MASTERS/MISTRESS. AFTER THAT IN 2011 ENGLISH TEACHERS WERE RECRUITED UNDER SARV SIKHSHA ABHIYAAN. SO NOW ENGLISH SUBJECT IS ON THE WAY TO IMPROVEMENT. BUT STILL A LOT OF THINGS ARE THERE WHICH NEED TO BE DONE. IN THIS POST I WOULD LIKE TO INVITE THE SUGGESTIONS FROM THE LEARNED TEACHERS TO IMPROVE THIS SUBJECT IN OUR SCHOOLS.

I am a CF that teaches English too in the school. My suggestion is to start translation from 6th to 8th as most of the students does not even know what they are writing.
