About 2 years back its own building has been constructed but its possesion is not given by the contracter due to non payment by Govt .ON ONE SIDE govt gives one crore to sonawer school of HP . ONTHE OTHER SIDE GOVT HAS NO MONEY TO SET HER OWN HOME IN ORDER.

There is no direct recruitment for DIET Lecturers. All posts of DIET Lecturers are filled from schools.
DIET Lecturers and school lectures are considered same cadre and these posts are interchangeable.

At present working of DIETs is looked after by the Punjab Govt but 85% of expenditure, including the salary of the staff is made by the central Govt. Now the central Govt is considering a proposal to upgrade the status of all DIETs with Lecturers

and made equivalent with the colleges. After this proposal takes effect, the administration of DIETs will go to the centre and new rules may be framed for the  recruitment of the staff with higher qualifications and pay scales.
