Chandigarh  : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all the 12,184 schools affiliated to the Board across the country to create their official websites by January 6 for ensuring easy access to school information. The schools have been directed to upload the basic details of the school, including the total number of students, staff members, details of infrastructure, fee structure, number of seats in each class, qualification and specialisation of teachers. As per the officials, of the total 150 CBSE-affiliated schools in the city, nearly 50 schools have their websites functioning properly. CBSE Regional Director R J Khanderao, said, ''The key idea behind maintaining the websites is to allow quick access to key information about the schools. It helps a number of outstation students to explore the schools while planning to move to the city.' Khanderao added, ''Of all the 2000 schools in the region, the performance of city schools in updating the websites has been good. However, the websites of the government schools need to be created.' There are a total of 104 government schools in Chandigarh. Of these only seven have their websites in place

My son is  appearing in 10th CBSE this year. I want to change him to Punjab school education board for 10+1 and 10+2 as there is no good CBSE school in my area. Should i go for this option or its not a good option.
