NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court on Thursday sought the Centre’s response to a plea challenging the ‘One-officer, one-child’ policy on reserving seats in MBBS and BDS courses for children of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel. Only one child of a serving CAPF personnel can get the benefit of reservation in MBBS or BDS courses across India, as per the current policy. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva issued a notice to the ministry of home affairs on the plea by a CISF officer who said the policy was “discriminatory”.
