I am having dishtv connection with kaon stb ksc100mco in that stb[i. e old sw yellow colour] i was able to add transponders both c-band and ku-band. But after sw upgrade [i. e blue]i am not able to add tps and c-band tps.  I heard that it is possible to change sw so i seached on the net and got the sw v. 3. 0 ,sw loaders kup230,kup300,kup3. 1, bootloaders etc. In my laptop there is no rs232 port only usb so that i got usb to rs232 serial cable and connected pc to stb with null modem cable[2-3,3-2,5-5]switch off stb open the loader select port select file switch on stb but not able to change sw when i switch on stb the following message displayed on loader [com port off enter key to reconnect] but term log is comming from stb.  I dont know what to do i am in a remote area so dear friends please help me how to upgrade my stb by pc? if only jtag there no pins on the board help me please  [/size]

Try with PC which have serial Port............ then there will be no confusion...........

Thank you very much for your reply dear jack and you think the problem is usb to serial adapter cable [i checked volts on stb rs232 port pin3 transmit data 8 volts and in adapters rs232 port pin3 transmit data 3 volts] so that will be the problem? waiting for ur reply dear jack thank you

Dear Kuldeep,
                   Don't experiment on this box.in this box software changing method only and only one is set to set method,otherwise game over of your box.so forget everthing if you want to watch dish tv.

or Buy Zenega's these models in which change of software is possible easily...............

Thanks for the replies dear jack and jagoo.  i was totally confused and i want to know that this model stb [kaon ksc100mco]can be upgraded by pc ???or not?[with rs232 port]and after upgrading can we watch both dishtv channels and fta channels[i. e adding transponders]?? so kindly clear the confusion dear jack and jagoo please

yes ! it is possible to change software with pc. But after upgrading you can watch only free to air channel.
 also you should knowldge of software that which software is similer of this.

thanks for the reply dear jagoo. without changing the sw can we add c-band frequencies with the help of channel editor,set edit, cfg kaon programmes? it is possible? waiting for your kind reply
