Notification for amending Education Service Rules
issued Pb. Govt. orders 25% direct recruitment of
school Principals & 75% through promotion

Chandigarh, November 2 (Gagandeep Sohal): Punjab
Govt. has issued a notification for allowing 25% direct
recruitment of school principals and 75% by
promotion from amongst school lecturers/
Headmasters/Headmistresses. As per notification, the
qualifications for direct recruitments has been set
under which the candidates must be M.A. M.Ed. with
55% marks with minimum experience as 7 years as
Headmaster or Headmistress or a lecturer in Govt. or
aided private school with 10 years experience. It is
worthwhile to mention that upto 2004, there was a
practice of direct recruitment to the extent of 25%
and after that this was discontinued and the
promotion quota was turned to 100%.

Ki MA MEd jayaj hai? majority of lecturer and headmasters r not M Ed.
& also why the condition of marks, if a person does not know how to get good marks as to take marks in the exams is also an art; so this condition should also be waived off. Every-one should be given the chance to try their luck, if he/she succeeds, then its o.k.

m.ed should not mandatory.

All working lecturers should be given the chance to under-go the exam irrespective of their experience and marks condition.
