Computer teachers demands equal benefits of education department

FEROZEPUR: A meeting of Computer Teachers Union, District Ferozepur was held under the leadership of Harjit Singh Sandhu, president and Davinder Singh, general secretary.
Addressing the meeting, they said, the education department should provide all benefits to the computer teachers also as are being given to the other officials in education department.
They further said that despite the implementation of Punjab Civil Services Rules from 1st July 2011, the same are not being provided to the computer teachers and the education department is violating the CSRs by disallowing the ex-India leave.
They demanded from the Punjab Government to implement the Punjab CSR on computer teachers also besides taking them under education department, introduction of contributory pension scheme, restore the ex-India leave facility, passing of medical claims and regularization of ICT staff. In case their demands are not accepted, they will intensify the agitation at the state level, they added.
